Before you propose

The Global Council for Behavioral Science exists to turn behavioral theory into practice that can be applied immediately. For the 2027 summit we invite experienced practitioners and trainers to propose interactive workshops that equip academic leaders with concrete decision-engineering tools.

What we are looking for

The organizing committee checks every proposal against these three. They are not negotiable, and a proposal that misses any one of them will not be accepted.

  1. Core relevance

The workshop must deliver a practical tool, matrix, or applied framework that serves one of the conference themes directly: safeguarding cognitive resilience, choice architecture in pedagogy, or building antifragile academic systems.

  2. Active application, not lecture

Theoretical framing must not take more than 30% of the session. The remaining 70% goes to practical application: working through the tool itself, case studies, and exercises participants complete during the session. Lecture-based formats are rejected.

  3. No pitching

The session may not be used to promote consulting services, sell books or products, or market the facilitator commercially. This one is absolute.

Format

Duration
45–60 minutes
Group size
25–30 participants
Delivery
Live, online

The group stays small so everyone in the room can participate rather than just watch; the cap reflects depth of engagement, not eligibility. Workshops are open to every conference attendee; we allocate spots in each session as people register.

What a proposal must include

  • The workshop plan in full: what you will cover, and what a participant leaves able to do.
  • A minute-by-minute agenda, showing how the session divides between framing and practice.
  • A sample of the practical tool, matrix, or framework you intend to teach.
  • Your name, your affiliation, and a contact email address.

Accepted facilitators attend a mandatory alignment briefing on 10 January 2027, before the final program is built.
